On July 13, 1985  , clearance was obtained from the FAA to fly a photo mission in a Piper Cherokee 180, over JFK Stadium in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania  USA , to take pictures of the Live Aid show.   A  Cannon AE-1  35mm camera, with Kodak ASA 400 color film was used to capture the following images:

A  week after the show,  about  thirty 8 x 11  color prints of  #3   were printed, to be  given as gifts.  They are very clear and detailed.  Several were  left over . . . .  here is a recent digital picture of one .

#3   was scanned for this web-page from the actual  8x11 print above.   #1 and #2 were scanned from smaller 3x5 snapshots, and appear on this page, to be of less resolution than #3.  All three shots, however, are from the same 35mm film roll, and will print with the same resolution.

Over the years, these prints were stashed away, some offered as mementos to concert attendees I would run into on occasion. Recently, however, the 35mm negatives for the  three images shown on this page were located  intact and in their protective covering, after being missing for years.

We are offering  for sale, color prints from the original color negatives , in a variety of sizes .  These made-to-order prints are highly detailed and would make a great addition to your collection of Live-Aid memorabilia
